Development Solutions Organization

Development Solutions Organization was founded in 2008 by a group of Carnegie Mellon students passionate about international development. Our vision is to increase the number of people interested and involved in international development by facilitating relationships between NGOs, Professors, Corporations, and students. Our hope is by increasing and helping organize international development efforts, the global community will be able to work towards solutions to our global challenges.

Purpose

• » We aim to educate and rally our peers around the impact they can make.
• » We aim to network interaction between students, faculty and NGOs.

Initiatives

• » Wishlist—Our self run opportunities posting board in international development.
• » International development mixers and lectures—DSO hosts a series where we introduce students to global issues. We bring in guest speakers from NGOs, as well as Professors passionate about development areas to share opportunities with students and previous experiences.
